MitchellDorf Southern Border Fence

We are looking to replace our old fence. Replacing because it is beyond repair, posts rotted. Additionally we desire to increase privacy and sound blocking. The current fence is too short with neighbors property at slightly higher elevation.

• Main Fence:
  • Approximately 97 Feet long by 7′ high no gates. (current fence is 6′)
  • Most posts are in dirt, some in concrete.
  • Moisture and dirt barrier required for approximately half the length.
  • Minimal to no spaces between slats, possibly overlapping.
    (Neighbors water and have landscaping spotlights we wish to block)
• Front Fence, gates:
  • 14′ 9″ with some give and take. 6′ high.
  • Currently a double gate and single gate
  • Posts are in concrete
• Would like options for cost effective modern design, flat top.
• Option for more traditional.
  • Privacy; light and sound blocking.
• Cedar, what kinds are available (pros and cons)
• Do metal posts make sense?
• Options for the moisture and dirt barrier
• Option for a double gate rather than double and a single.
• Option for a single gate at the far end of the main fence (into neighbors property)
